Sept 30, 2015 Mt.Fuji 2015 Season
富士山は静岡県側で9月10日、山梨県側で9月15日をもって閉山となりました。現在の山頂温度は-1℃から1.4℃と、もはや真冬です。今年は多くの台風が日本に来て、富士山の天気は荒天の日が多く、登山者は泣かされました。そんな中で、私は実に31か国の外国人登山者にお会いしました。富士山は多くの人々を魅き付けてやみません。また来年お会いしましょう。
The climbing season for Mt.Fuji is over. Now the temperature on the summit is about 0 ℃. Four trails to the summit are build barricades across every trail. Looking back this year, there are many typhoons hit Japan, bacause of stomy days - heavy rains, strong wind -, there weren't enough pleasant days to climb up the mountain. However, many people all over the world-a little fewer than the last year-came to challenge it. Some welcomed by pleasant weather, others gave up climbing. Anytime Mt Fuji attracts people in the world.
Jezt ist die Saison fürs Bergsteig ist vorbei. In diesem Jahr gibt es einige starke Taifune in Japan. Am Anfang der Saison war es sehr herrich, den Berg aufzusteigen. Aber gegen Ende der Saison war es sehr schlecht. Trotz des schlechten Wetters, haben viele Leute Japan besucht und Mt.Fuji gestiegen. Mt.Fuji zieht das Publikum an.

July 15, 2015 Bird Watching on Mt.Fuji
Mt.Fuji was open to the public from July 10th on Yamanashi side, Shizuoka side on 15th. The mountain is crowded with people who are looking forward to the opening of the mountain. May they have a nice time and safe return!! Beside the hustle and bustle of the main trail, there is a nice hidden place to watch many kinds of beautiful birds and red Mt. Fuji. Pictures are at first red Mt.Fuji and after that follow birds. The name of bird is from the upper left to lower right: Kikuitadaki(Male),Kikuitadaki(Female), Ruribitaki , Hoshigarasu,Senndaimushikui. There are many ways to enjoy Mt.Fuji, depending on man's taste. 富士山の四つの登山道は開山日以来とても賑わっています。安全登山をして欲しいものです。登山道をすこし外れると、大自然の真只中にある富士山が見えるポイントがあります―赤富士です。静かな場所では、キクイタダキ、ルリビタキ、ホシガラス、センダイムシクイなど美しい鳥が見られます。
May 4, 2015 Mt.Fuji-4 layers of stratovolcano
Mt. Fuji was born some 100 thousand years ago when Sen-Komitake volcano erupted at first; the lowest and oldest layer of Mt.Fuji stratification. The hight of Sen Komitake mountain is about 2.300 meters. After the first eruption, there were at least three periods of eruptions form Mt.Fuji: 4-layers of stratovolcano. Now we can see this lowest part of Mt. Fuji called Sen-Komitake about 20 minutes' walk from the mountain hut Higashi Fuji Sansou on the Subashiri trail.Up until 5th stations of every trail on the mountain are already open to the public and waiting for many climbers.
April 19, 2015 400 years' anniversary of Toshougu at Kunouzan in Shizuoka
・From April 15th to 19th 400 years’ anniversary was cerebrated at Toshogu in Shizuoka. The ceremonies performed were as follows.
On April15th: The ceremony of announcing the 400 year’s anniversary date to the deity ( Ieyasu Tokugawa).
On 16th :The ceremony of announcing peace of the world to the deity.
On 17th: the most important ceremony in memory of deity’s 400 years’ deathday with the head of the Tokugawa family.
On 18th: the ceremony of offering a wand with hemp and paper streamers to the deity.
On 19th: the closing ceremony
Some of the teachings [precepts] of a deceased person are:
Make haste slowly. Too much water drowned the miller.

Feb 21, 2015 Shizuoka Guide Seminor at Hamamatu
・Hamamatu, the biggest city in Shizuoka, locates between Tokyo and Kyoto or Nagoya, most foreign visitors pass through this city, not knowing the beauty and good food of Hamamatu. The first program of this seminar is Zazen at Hokoji Hansobo; meditation in Zen Buddhism. We sit down on a Tatami mat and practice zazen for about half an hour. The second destination is Ryugashido Caven made of fossil layer of lime stone rock. The unknown world that had been sleeping under the earth for 250 million years. The last destination & cuisine is grilled oysters. Not only eels but also oysters taste very good.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　・浜松は楽しさいっぱいです。方広寺―奥山半僧坊での座禅は精神を集中する異文化体験です。　竜ヶ岩洞―年間18℃に保たれ、２億数千万年も眠り続けている。ジュール・ヴェルヌが1864年に発表した「地底旅行」では、アイスランドのスネッフェルス山の頂にある火口の中を降りてゆけば、地球の中心に辿り着くことができるそうです。地底世界を探検するのも神秘的です。忘れてならないのは、食べ物―ウナギ、牡蠣、餃子、シラス、みそまん。行ってみよう浜松。

Feb 10, 2015 Shizuoka World Heritage Site Guide Seminor

・Two years have passed since Mt.Fuji was inscribed upon World Heritage Site.Need of guiding Mt.Fuji to various visitors is indispensable to be World Heritage Site. People have feared and revered Mt.Fuji, which has erupted repeatedly. Mt. Fuji and its beautiful form also have been sources of artistic works such as poems and paintings. The inscribed properties include not only mountain itself but also a total of 25 component parts such as shrines, lakes, springs, waterfalls, lava caves, those of which are locatedat the foot of Mt.Fuji and closely connected in terms of religious worship and works of art.　　　　　　・富士山を世界遺産として保全してゆくためにはただ眺めるばかりではなく、積極的に関与してゆくことが必要です。訪問者に世界遺産を御案内することで、このことに係ってゆきたい。静岡県主催のボランティア世界遺産ガイド研修に参加しました。下の写真はそれぞれ村山、山宮、不二山、須山、富士山本宮の浅間大社です。

Jan 15, 2015 Fire Festival in Nozawa

The fire festival held every year 15th on January is called Dosojin Matsuri, which is the festival for travelers' guardian deities. The pair of the deities stands along the roads to watch over people coming & going safely to the town and wishes a plentiful harvest, health and good fortune in the coming year as well.　The fire festival is one of the three biggest fire festivals in Japan (Nachi in Wakayama, Tamatareguu in Fukuoka and Nozawa in Nagano). Recently many foreign people, especially Aussies visit Nozawa for skiing. Snow in Nozawa is very light, powder & virgin. Dinners served at hotels & inns are super. No wander Nozawa is very popular for them !! 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　日本三大火祭りの一つが毎年1月15日に野沢温泉で行われます。村の平安・良縁・豊作などを祈願して行われる「道祖神祭り」は国の重要文化財です。社殿正面、20Mほど離れたところに燃え上がる火元からたいまつに火をつけ、そのたいまつを社殿の守り人めがけ「バチバチ」と頭・顔ところかまわず叩きつけ、点火攻撃します。この攻防は1時間半あまりにもわたります。社殿の守り人は25歳の厄年の若者・社殿に登って「目出度く建てた、命あるなら来年も」と道祖神の歌を歌っているのは42歳の厄年の村民。やけどや怪我は当たり前、煤で真っ黒になった守り人の顔が印象的な命懸けの火祭りです。
